Engaging students is one of the things I do best because it is so important to retaining information. Here are a few examples of how I engage students in science classes.
These PowerPoint slides are an example of the amazing things I’ve learned to make that are fun and engaging presentations. I have found that animations and visual examples make it easier for the kids to stay focused, enjoy learning, and retain information. It’s also something I really enjoy doing. This first one includes a voice-over, the second is a natural selection game, and the last two are pictures of other PowerPoint animations.
Science comics! These were so fun for the kids and allowed them to incorporate art and writing into their science projects. I believe it’s important for subjects to support one another because that is how life works. Understanding something well enough to make a story about it deepens the understanding.
