The Hydraulic Arm projects
This project is a favorite of many students. We have taken it further and gotten better at it each year. Students work to create an arm that moves with the use of hydraulics, or liquids that create force, in the form of syringes that push and pull water from one syringe to another and move parts of the arm. The arms do all kinds of different things. In addition to our models, we worked with the robotics teacher, and the robotics students made programmed versions of our designs.
